Flying over the holidays? If so, good news for Wi-Fi in the sky users.

Google Chrome has teamed up with AirTran Airways, Delta and Virgin America to offer free Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi on all domestic flights between Nov. 20, 2010 and Jan. 2, 2011. All you need is a Wi-Fi enabled laptop or mobile device.

It's easy to get started using Google WiFi. Here's what you'll need:

        * A wireless enabled computer or other device - Most laptop computers have built-in wireless capability. If your computer doesn't have this feature built in, you can purchase a wireless network card.
        * A web browser on the computer or device you wish to use - Your computer likely already has a web broswer such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari installed. You'll need a browser to sign in to Google WiFi, so you won't be able to access the network on a phone or other device that doesn't include a browser.
        * A Google Account - You'll need a Google Account to sign in to the Google WiFi network. A Gmail address is also a Google Account and will allow you to access the service. If you don't have a Google Account, you can create one for free at Google Accounts home.
        * A WiFi modem - Using a modem is optional, but can help you receive a strong signal if you plan to access the network indoors.
