Eurid,the registry for .EU domain names,celebrates its seventh anniversary this week..EU became publicly available on April 7,2006 and sice then more than 3,7 million .EU domain names have been registered .

.EU managed to establish its place as a respected domain name,according to the latest report conducted by Eurid.More than 1,84 million EU residents have at least one .EU domain.25% of these residents have registered more than one .EU domain name .

“Our study shows that after seven years of operation we have a solid reputation as a quality top-level domain, suitable for large companies, but also for innovative and creative startups,” said Marc Van Wesemael,EURid’s General Manager.

.EU had a great performance on the IDNX index too.Since its launch on April 7,2006,.EU domain has ranked among the big players on the domain market,as shown below :
