Web hosting provider Tenzing Managed IT Services announced on Monday that it has launched Data Assure to help customers backup critical server environments.

Data Assure provides an automated, fully-managed and cloud-based data protection service with proactive administration and backup data monitoring. It performs backups automatically and continuously, at fifteen-minute intervals, so data is protected at near real-time increments.

This new service launch comes three months after Heiler Software announced its agreement to offer Tenzing’s managed hosting solutions to its North American customers.

Data Assure automatically recovers from all Internet outages or disruptions without “the need for human intervention”, Tenzing says. With outages an inevitable part of working online, this feature in particular is crucial for e-commerce customers looking for a solution to backup transactions.

Customers or Tenzing staff can select data to recover from a catalog of archived file versions, and Data Assure wll automatically restore that data to the client’s specified location.

Supporting both Linux and Windows server environments, Data Assure is available now, regardless of where the primary data resides.

In April, Tenzing launched its PCI Assure service to help online merchants capture customer credit card information from any website.
