Web hosting provider Brain Host announced on Monday it has acquired website design company My Creative Site Designs, which specializes in creating unique websites that engage customers and increase conversions. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the press release.

By offering a website building tool as a value-added service, web hosting companies can broaden their market reach, giving them access to customers they may not have had access to before, and in doing so, bringing a new revenue stream.

In a WHIR feature posted earlier this year, Nicole Henderson looked at some of the more popular site builders available on the market, including Microsoft WebMatrix, Parallels Web Presence Builder, BaseKit, CM4All Sites, and RVSiteBuilder.

The acquisition is part of Brain Host’s plans to focus on providing a broader range of services to current and future customers.

More than just a traditional website builder, My Creative Site Designs offers a wide range of marketing tactics including predictive marketing modeling, SEO, email marketing, goal-orientated design, pay per click advertising, social media marketing, and affiliate marketing to create high-converting websites that will engage visitors and help convert them into paying customers.

In a HostingCon 2012 marketing session, Hammond discussed holistic marketing and the role it plays at Brain Host.

Following the acquisition, My Creative Site Designs will continue to serve its market niche and will be rebranded as Brain Host.

Brain Host has already migrated all My Creative Site Designs customer websites to its hosting network.
