Managed network security provider StillSecure announced on Thursday that it has launched a new managed compliance service, HIPAA Essential, for data center operators and hosting partners, enabling them to ensure their operations meet the strict compliance requirements of the HIPAA HITECH healthcare industry security standard.

The new tool provides a combination of technology, expert personnel and certified processes, all of which comply with the broad range of HIPAA HITECH requirements. The service has been independently audited by Coalfire Systems, which validated each HIPAA Essentials component against the statute’s requirements.

Specifically, the components of the managed service include firewall, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SSL, internal and external vulnerability scanning, file integrity monitoring, and other services.
