A Tupac Shakur fan is being taken to court by a collegiate sports conference hoping to win a judgment that would allow them to take the enthusiast's domain name.
The Pacific 10 Conference, otherwise known as the Pac-10, will undergo a name change to the "Pac-12," due to the addition of two new schools to the conference, University of Colorado and the University of Utah.
In attempting to transition their website from pac10.com to pac12.com, the conference ran into problem. The domain, pac12.com is already taken and belongs to a Tupac fan. The site was apparently abandoned by the fan until the lawsuit was filed last week. The owner then upgraded the site, adding a link for customers to purchase Tupac albums.
Representatives for the Pac-10 are hoping to reach a settlement with the owner of the domain, according to the USA Today.Source from HIPHOPWIREDGet your own web hosting here!
