The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) is looking for a new web hosting provider who can also offer consultancy services, optional website development and database management services.

      Vendors can submit expressions of interest (EOI) for the project that will cover eleven of MFAT’s websites. These sites are a mix of PHP/MySQL, .NET/SQL 2005 and open source content management systems.

      The ministry currently has a contract with OneSquared (Modica Group) for the hosting of the websites.

      A contract was signed in July 2005 and ran for three years. It has since been extended on a monthly basis. Some websites are currently hosted in a Lamp environment and some are in a Windows/IIS environment.

      With this new project, the ministry expects to manage the SQL 2005 databases inhouse, but needs a web hosting provider for basic housekeeping functions such as backups and defragmentation.

      The new contract will be based on a three-year initial term with the option of extension for a further two years by mutual agreement.

      All EOIs must be submitted by 22 December, 2010 and the Ministry expects all services to be operational by 30 June 2011.
