The popular game, that has tens of millions of fans from around the world is coming from your cell phone to your personal computer. The new version for PC was introduced in a Rovio event.

      How would you like to play Angry Birds although you can’t afford an iPod or a smartphone? As of today, there’s a solution – an official version of the game is being released to PC. “The Next Web” website reports that Rovio, the developer of the game, will announce the PC version of the game. The information was confirmed by the Finnish cellular company, Elisa, which is a partner for that announcement.

      According to Rovio, 42 million users have already downloaded the game to various mobile platforms.

      Angry Birds was initially designed for the iOS system but was released to Android, WebOS, and Simbian as well. In objective of the game is to launch birds onto structures in which pigs who’ve stolen their eggs are hiding. There are a number of bird-bullets, and each has different capabilities. Similarly to other physical games, here as well you need to plan each launch in a way that knocks the structure down in the right direction.

      It is still unknown what form of distribution will be used for the PC – downloading from site after payment or selling it on CD’s or USB will expose it to mass piratical distribution. It has recently been reported that Rovio is planning to launch versions of the game for the Xbox, PlayStation and Wii. The company is also planning a multi players game mode.
