The number of mobile subscribers surged by 450 million to 842 million over the last five years, reports Beijing News, citing the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC).
According to statistics by the CNNIC, the number of Mobile Internet users reached 277 million by June, 2010, up from 233 million users in 2009.
The number of 2G base stations built by the three operators now exceeds 700,000, of which over 400,000 is owned by China Moible (0941.HK).
China Mobile's revenue from value-added services over the last five years increased by 26.55 percent to hit 67.9 billion yuan by June 2010.Shares of China Mobile were up by 0.06 percent to trade at HK$78.2 at 11 am today.
