The Top 10 '.hk' Website Competition 2010 organised by Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) closed for entries on 12 November 2010. To promote community involvement and make the competition even more representative, public voting for the favourite .hk websites from the shortlisted entries starts from today and runs through 28 November 2010. Anyone who votes will also take part in a lucky draw to win an Apple iPAD!

      The Top 10 '.hk' Website Competition 2010 aims at recognising outstanding '.hk' websites which have innovatively leveraged on the Internet and social media platforms to enhance their businesses. This year, HKIRC received over 160 entries, representing a 10% increase from last year.

      Entries are divided into two categories: Corporate Group and SME Group. Voters can select up to five favourite .hk websites from each of the two categories. Hong Kong citizens aged 18 years or above are eligible for online voting from today to 28 November 2010. Only one form can be submitted by each participant. All qualified voters will automatically be entered in a lucky draw to win fabulous prizes including the grand prize of an Apple iPAD 16G (valued at HK$3,888).

About the competition

      The Competition is a unique and effective platform to showcase the benefits and opportunities brought by the Internet and the '.hk' domain to businesses and organisations, as well as to promote the awareness and use of the online platform by the community at large.

      Judges will rank the entries based on criteria such as industry innovation, look-and-feel and ease of navigation, interaction, domain innovation and relevance, and contribution to society. The Golden Prize winner of each category will be awarded HK$20,000, in addition to a certificate, trophy and logo exposure on promotional materials. The brand new “Best New .hk Website Award” winner will receive HK$10,000.

      Results of the competition will be announced on 21 December 2010 and an awards presentation ceremony will be held in early 2011.
