Want to live like a tech CEO?

      Forget the gated, luxurious cribs of certain industry bigwigs, and rent out the modest four bedroom, three bathroom house in Palo Alto once occupied by Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.

      Gawker today reported that Zuckerberg has vacated his 2,350 sq. ft. Street View-proof home at 2073 Princeton Street, and is trying to rent it out for $7,850 a month, based on a Craigslist ad. On the other hand, an ApartmentHunterz.com listing said the house has been taken.

      Over the summer Zuckerberg gave Oprah a tour of his house, which he shared with girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The Wall Street Journal reported that Zuckerberg had been renting the house on a monthly basis.

      Landlord Stan Wu would not verify his previous tenant's name but said he had occupied it for less than two years, and did not know why he left.

      According to Wu's Craigslist ad, Zuckerberg's old crib contains all the "charm and functionality" of an upper-middle class family home in the 'burbs (in this case, College Terrace near Stanford University). Think hardwood paneling, "chef's kitchen," fireplace, wooden trimming, large family room...even a wine cooler in the kitchen.
