Verizon iPhone 4 Cause Of iOS 4.2 Release Delay? Apple lovers who have pinned the hopes of iOS 4.2 operating system releasing this week would be disappointed. The release date of iOS 4.2 has been pushed ahead until 24th November 2010, if rumors are to be believed. There are also rumors that Verizon iPhone 4 is the reason behing this delay as Apple may announce the iPhone on Verizon with iOS 4.2 release. But nothing official yet.

      Earlier, the release date of iOS 4.2 public version was rumored to be November 12. The rumor of public version of iOS 4.2 releasing soon started after Apple released the Golden Master version of iOS 4.2 on November 1. The launch was expected on November 12, but Apple had to delay the release to fix some iPad WiFi connect issue and released another Golden Master version. Now, the new rumored date is November 24.

      Though Apple has yet to mention the reasons for the delayed release iOS 4.2, it did stipulated November as the month for the release. The rumored date of November 12 for the iOS 4.2 public version was according to an ‘insider’ who leaked the info.

      Apple lovers are looking forward to the release. The 4.2 update will be enabled on the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad – which will finally get multi-tasking and the ability to tether.

      In another developments, iPhone Dev Team are also working and are said to be ready to launch many updated tools to Jailbreak iOS 4.2. Comex said to be working on the untethered iOS 4.2 Jailbreak. Comex has completed their hacks to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 beta 3 and expectedly will extend it to bring untethered 4.2 Jailbreak.
