ICM Registry,the company behind .XXX domain name announced that it has sold over 12,000 .XXX domain name during its May promotion,when the cost of .XXX domains was about $15 on a retail level .

This promotion began earlier tis month as part of a legal settlement with Manwin .The promotion will end Friday at 4 p.m. PDT .

Stuart Lawley,ICM Registry CEO,told XBIZ that the promotion will most likely b repeated in the future years.So far,since .XXX became available to the general public , 205,794 .XXX domain names have been registered .

ICM Registry wants to operate three additional adult-entertainment-related TLDs - .porn , .sex and .adult .If awarded these three new TLDs,ICM Registry decided to reserve matching domain names at no additional cost to those who have already .XXX domains .
