Web hosting provider CentriLogic announced on Thursday it has expanded to Europe with the opening of a multi-million dollar, 3,500 square foot cloud data center in Bracknell, UK.

The move is the latest step in CentriLogic’s European expansion strategy, which was developed to fulfill the increasing demand from current and future customers requiring comprehensive managed IT outsourcing solutions in Europe.

The move comes a few weeks after CentriLogic completed the Statement of Standards on Attestation Engagements No. 16 Type II audit.

From this facility, CentriLogic will provide global enterprises with infrastructure-as-a-service solutions, including public and private cloud hosting, hybrid cloud hosting, managed hosting, and colocation.

The facility is located near the many high-tech companies that populate the Thames Valley region, which is often dubbed the UK’s Silicon Valley.

“Centrilogic’s new Bracknell data centre has been engineered to support high density applications, and contains industry-leading power, network, security, and heating/cooling infrastructure,” said Robert Offley, CEO of CentriLogic. “Our investment in Bracknell enables us to accommodate customers from the Thames Valley, London, and surrounding areas, while also supporting our North American enterprise and SaaS customers who have complex intercontinental hosting requirements.”

The data center features diverse incoming utility supplies fed from separate grids, 24-hour security and multi-level access control, power protection provided by 6 UPS modules and 2×2 MW backup generators, N+1 Redundant independent cooling units, temperature & humidity control, two 600kW chillers feeding 7 x 80kW CRAC units, very early smoke detection system, and gas-based fire suppression.

The Bracknell, UK data center significantly expands CentriLogic’s international footprint, adding to its existing interconnected data centers located in Southern Ontario, Canada (Missasauga), and Western New York (Buffalo and Rochester).

CentriLogic is currently looking to acquire a secondary data center in the UK followed by further expansion throughout Continental Europe.
