An arbitrator with the National Arbitration Forum has awarded the domain name FacebookDeveloper.com to Facebook.The company submitted a complaint to the National Arbitration Forum on March 16,2012 ,asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name .

Facebook owns many trademark registrations for the "Facebook" mark all over the world.Therefore,the company managed to demonstrate that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.Moreover,the company contended and managed to demonstrate that the respondent registered and used the disputed domain name in bad faith:

"Respondent’s domain name resolves to a website containing advertising for third party businesses. It appears more likely than not that at least some links on Respondent’s website are pay-per-click and thus generate revenue for Respondent when clicked by a website visitor.

Respondent is attracting consumers, and presumably profiting financially, as a result of its creating a likelihood of confusion with Complainant’s mark."

The Panel ordered the disputed domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
