Domainsville Police has learned that a scammer has offered the domain name, D9.com, on an Arabic discussion forum Swalif.net. The listing was posted on the “Domain Names for Sale” section. The scammer (Mr.AyEsH) listed the domain on Saturday, April 7, 2012 seeking offers from forum members. The domain received 5 bids with the highest at $2,600.
The domain was not offered on ANY domain forum. Just a regular non-English forum. Also, notice how the guy shows the creation and expiry dates, as well as the nameservers in attempt to make his claim more legit.
The scammer’s real name is: Karam Abu Shammala, with a Skype ID: heyoonco
and he will only accept Western Union as a form of payment for the domain.
Of course, the rightful owner of D9.com is a software company based in Australia.
