TechCrunch.com just covered the story of the company behind the domain name GetFunded.com “which will be a “crowdfunding platform for entrepreneurs who are seeking new investments in their businesses and ideas,”
What TechCrunch didn’t discuss is the very interesting story of how the current holder of the domain name got the domain.
The domain name, Getfunded.com was in “Pending Renewal or Deletion” status just in Feburary.
Mike Mann’s Domain Asset Holdings got the domain either from the registrar DomainDiscover directly or through a drop service and had ownership of the domain in March according to DomainTools.com, and according to Mike Mann’s Facebook page he sold the domain for $25,000 just a few weeks later for $25,000 to the current owner and the subject of the TechCrunch Story.
Another great domain story for everyone except the guy who let the domain name drop.
