ICANN are rumoured to have agreed on a new CEO and are set to make an announcement, possibly next week, of the successful appointee.

According to sources, ICANN and the new appointee have agreed on terms. But who the successful appointee is has been a closely kept secret with seemingly no information leaking out. Even details of who the final four candidates have been widely speculated with differing views on who the final four are.

The appointee will replace current CEO and President Rod Beckstrom who has received plenty of criticism and announced his resignation. It is widely believed Beckstrom resigned rather than not have his contract renewed.
