ICANN believe they have fixed the technical issue that forced them to take offline the TLD application system software (TAS) on 12 April and that exposed some applicant data. For now the organisation is testing the TAS to make sure the problem has been rectified.
In an update posted on the ICANN website, Akram Atallah, the COO, said "ICANN is committed to reopening the application system as soon as we can confirm that the problem has been resolved and we have had proper time for testing."
ICANN also advised all applicants that the TAS will not reopen on 17 April as originally planned. A further update on the timing of the reopening will be given no later than Friday, 20 April at 23.59 UTC.Source from www.domainnews.com
