"AFNIC has published its reply to the launch of the public consultation by ARCEP on "Monitoring the quality of Internet access service on fixed networks".

On December 23, 2011, the French regulatory authority for electronic and postal communications (ARCEP) launched a public consultation on "Monitoring the quality of Internet access service on fixed networks" in order to present the current situation and the problems involved in measuring the performance characteristics of Internet access in a clear and understandable way.

As a key player in the French Internet, AFNIC has chosen to reply to the consultation and fully supports the initiative as an example of the kind of measures that need to be taken."
