Former owner files breach of contract claim.

It also alleges that when DeuPree negotiated to buy the site that he "and unknown collaborators planned for force Burgess from sandiego.com, the business Burgess founded, and refuse to honor agreements between Burgess and SanDiego.com.]

Last year the original owner of SanDiego.com lost his domain and web assets to foreclosure.

SignonSanDiego.com reports today that former owner Mark Burgess has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Robert DeuPree, who bought the site from him two years ago. The report says that Burgess sold DeuPree the site in return for equity and debt. According to Burgess, DeuPree still owes him six figures for the business and a five figure severance.

I’m a little bit confused as an earlier report from DNJournal said that DeuPree owned the notes that were used to foreclose on the domain name.

I’m trying to get a copy of the dispute and will update if I get more details.
