Facebook Inc. may be close to choosing the former Sun Microsystems/Oracle campus in Menlo Park as its new headquarters, TechCrunch reports citing unnamed sources.
The campus, which is some six miles from Facebook's current offices and is bordered by Menlo Park and East Palo Alto, would offer more space to the rapidly growing company, which has outgrown its Palo Alto headquarters.
Facebook has more than 2,000 employees and continues to grow.
The company formerly occupied several small buildings in downtown Palo Alto.
Facebook said it is exploring options for a long-term location but the company would not confirm what locations were being considered, TechCrunch reports.
