          ICANN's 2011 Nominating Committee has taken the idea of transparency and pushed it along and started up a blog to better communicate with the wider ICANN community on its actions, and how it can be better.

          "But for talking to and hearing back on, for example, how we can do recruitment better, there's no better place," said Maria Farrell, writing on her own blog, who has now been appointed by the NonCommercial Users' Constituency to ICANN's Nominating Committee.

          The blog is "semi-official" giving the views of committee members, but not of ICANN, and will give regular updates and invite community comments on the process, although it is stressed that confidentiality of applicants is of paramount importance.

    Examples of issues to be covered on the blog are:

        * Who's who on the NomCom
        * Calendar of outreach events
        * What to expect when you apply for a leadership position
        * NomCom myths and legends de-bunked.
